Della Green

Jazz and Classical Piano

Della Green is a jazz and classical pianist.  She studied classical piano throughout her childhood with Splendora Leone and Isabella Kaminski at the Trenton Conservatory of Music.  She continued classical music study and added jazz piano study during her years in college. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Piano from  Rutgers University, NJ. Della went on to study Music Education and obtain her teaching certification, and Masters degree in Music Education from The College of New Jersey, NJ. Della has performed around the country from New York City to Los Angeles and also in Japan. As a solo pianist, she enjoyed performing with vocalists and instrumentalists including the two-time Grammy award-winning R&B group, The Delfonics. 


Della has taught general music, choral, and instrumental music in public schools in New Jersey, New York and California.   She has been a teacher, arts educator, and school administrator for over 35 years. She has authored numerous articles about jazz artists, creative processes, and research in music education.
