Introduction

The West Jersey Music Academy is a non-profit 501(c)(3) music school located in Moorestown, New Jersey.  West Jersey Music Academy is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, marital status, national origin, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, age and/or disability.  A major part of the school's mission is to bring music instruction and performance to all people, including the disabled and the elderly.  All students are welcome, and the school provides support and modifications to all who are disabled and desire to learn music or engage in music therapy.

The West Jersey Music Academy meets the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the New Jersey Law against Discrimination and the Rehabilitation Act.   Lessons are provided at the First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown, which has adequate ramps and access to those who are physically disabled.  Lessons are scheduled in accessible rooms.  The school provides professional services, and evaluations to develop an Individualized Music Program (IMP) for students with disabilities.  The school collaborates with Rizza Miro and Associates, LLC, a local group of speech and occupational therapists.  The school also has a music therapist on staff and teachers who is trained in working with students with special needs.  The school currently provides music instruction to students at the Bancroft School, a New Jersey State approved school for students with special needs.

All students who need support and modifications for a music program may request reasonable accommodations and an evaluation by an appropriate professional to provide meaningful instruction, that will lead to the likelihood of success.
