Music is a universal language, and babies and toddlers understand it long before they speak their first words. From the steady beat of a drum to the gentle sway of a lullaby, young children naturally respond to rhythm, melody, and movement. Music helps them connect, communicate, and explore their world with joy and curiosity. In our early‑childhood classes, we nurture that instinctive musicality, giving little ones a playful, loving space to grow, bond, and discover the magic of making music together.
Developmental Benefits for Babies & Toddlers
Music supports early development in powerful ways. When babies and toddlers sing, sway, clap, or explore instruments, they’re building essential skills that shape communication, coordination, and emotional growth. Parenting Mothers as home DJs: Recorded music and young children’s well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic Mothers with young children were provided with playlists of songs, including from the Music Together Family Favorites collections, to listen to during the pandemic. Families were provided with education about using music listening during the day in strategic ways.
